Three test methods are described in this publication, that also provides recommendations for their use and information on the present state of standardisation and legal status: the Ultrasonic Examination Test (UET), the Acoustic Emission Test (AET) and the Modular Acoustic Emission (MAE) test are more advanced methods when compared to the proof pressure test.
