PP 43/18 - Carbon Leakage Assessment for European Industrial Gas Industry (NACE 20.11) (New publication)
The industrial gases sector, represented by EIGA, has been working to ensure that the environmental and economic benefits that accompany outsourcing of industrial gases production are maintained throughout the development and implementation of Phase 4 of the EU ETS. EIGA is pleased to see protections for hydrogen/syngas included within the final text of the Directive. The solution represented by the text is based on a qualitative assessment of the industrial gases sector at NACE level.
Attached to this position paper is a memo on the Carbon Leakage Study for EIGA Carbon Leakage Assessment for European Industrial Gas Industry (NACE 20.11) published by Ecofys in December 2017.
