Many EIGA Members use the services of security guards to protect their sites, assets and people. Security guards can either be employees or contracted to the gas company. However the requirements of selection and duties are generally the same and should meet industry best practice. This publication provides guidance on the selection, training and operation of security guards and security services as well the responsibilities of those involved in the management of security guards.
