(Revision of TP 004/16 and TP 018/16)

EIGA publication Doc. 110 Environmental Impacts Cylinder Filling Plants details the environmental impacts of the management of cylinder filling operations and gives guidelines on how to reduce their environmental impact. It is intended to serve as a guide for Industrial Gases cylinder filling operations managers and personnel to assist in putting in place a formal environmental management system that can be certified by an accredited 3rd party verifier. It also aims to provide a guide for operating managers for identifying and reducing the environmental impacts of these operations.

EIGA publication Doc. 111 Environmental Impacts of Carbon Dioxide and Dry Ice Production details the environmental impacts of carbon dioxide (CO2) and dry ice plants and gives guidelines on how to reduce their environmental impact.
It is intended to serve as a guide for carbon dioxide and dry ice plants to assist in putting in place a formal environmental management system that can be certified by an accredited 3rd party verifier.  It also aims to provide a guide for operating managers for identifying and reducing the environmental impacts of these operations.
The publication also provides the basis for establishing the best available techniques for the purposes of the industrial emissions directive (IED) which covers carbon dioxide and dry ice plants production.

For EIGA Members, these guidance documents are supported by this Training Package TP 065 Cylinder & CO2 Plants Environmental Issues to help communication of the guidances and promote discussions with staff at operations sites.
