Jörg joined GWI in 2009 and leads the institute’s Numerical Simulations group, focusing on CFD simulations of technical combustion processes, particularly for thermal processing applications.
His areas of interest are technical combustion processes, alternative fuels, the decarbonization of process heat and modeling of combustion processes.
He is active in various German and international committees on natural gas quality, hydrogen, industrial gas utilization, combustion and related topics (e. g. CEN, IFRF, MARCOGAZ, IGU, DVGW), and was awarded a PhD (Dr.-Ing.) from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, in 2006.
