Kees joined the RDW in the Netherlands and held several positions on vehicle registration, auditing and dangerous goods. In his current position he is part of a department dealing with development of technical regulations in particular on the ATP and ADR treaties.

As member of the Netherlands delegation for dangerous goods he chairs the Informal working Group on Electric Vehicles that is mandates by UNECE WP.15.

After a studying automotive engineering it took off from there.
